Esoteric Acupuncture Part Two

Hey, Did that Really Happen?

Read Part One here.

Continuing on my journey toward another level, another framework, another aspect of acupuncture--esoteric, a spiritual way to look at the body through Chinese Medicine.

The 5-Element Framework

I began  by reading several books (see references in Part One). When someone comes to see me,  we chat about what is happening with them. it is usually related to some physical symptom.  I listen and am present to what they are saying but also I listen to what they are “not” saying.  This comes as a feeling in my body or how they present themselves within the 5 Element Acupuncture framework , that tells me where I feel the client tends to fall within an element.

Sacred Geometry

I noticed when my intention was to use esoteric acupuncture, I began to visualize geometric patterns on someone’s back or front. I could see them clear as day, showing in the person’s skin, telling me to put a needle there and connect this “sacred geometry”.  I thought, “Wait a minute, did I see that?”  Or, my logical mind would shout, “You made that completely up.  Clean your glasses.”

The Spirit of the Point

When someone was physically in front of me,  esoteric acupuncture would help or heal what the physical issue is even though it wasn’t what I was working directly on.  All acupuncture points are spiritual points.  The esoteric acupuncture intention touches the “spirit of that point” and works to heal body, mind and spirit.

Disbelief Becomes Belief

When I felt comfortable and not like a complete weirdo, I would shyly ask my client if I could use my pendulum over the needles. The answer has always been “sure, go ahead”.  Ahead, I go!  When holding the pendulum over the needles it begins to swing in ways I have never seen a pendulum swing.  I am not a pendulum guru, but when the pendulum started to draw geometric patterns in the air as it swings, flip flopping almost all the way over my hand, or spinned like a ferris wheel, l then I thought, “Hey am I really seeing this?”

And I was! I was holding the zippitydooda pendulum!  To confirm this, I have completely stopped it and held it over the needles just to make sure that I am not in any way manipulating it.  Who knows?  Maybe my fingers were doing their own dance, says my mind.  And then, it starts swinging back and forth and in counter clockwise circles.  It slowed down and started geometrically swinging clockwise and then smoothly swung in a huge circle.  The pendulum slows down, speeds up and flippity flops around.

I have no explanation for this “phenomena” and I don’t pretend to know what the pendulum is doing.  As these 2 years have gone by working in this way, I have come to some inner knowledge that the pendulum is connecting the subtle body to the physical body.

Channeling  Spirit

This is a part of my journey, to help support, heal and just allow people to “be” as they show up.  I believe I am called to this work and that I am a conduit somehow.  What the shamans call “a hollow bone”.  I allow Lao Tzu and spirit to come through me and guide. This connection keeps me asking, “Hey did that really happen?”  And I now know, yes it does.  I am ever amazed with every treatment that I do.

Remote Acupuncture

Could I possibly do acupuncture long distance?  That sounded like some kind of crazy idea.  I realized that other modalities are done at a distance such as reiki, prayer healing, shamanic healing, tarot readings, psychic readings and I could go on and on.  So why not acupuncture, really … why not acupuncture?   It is energy work with needles and intention.  I use light needles and I see in my mind, putting the needles in the person energetically.  Connecting together for what is best for them.  Off I go through space and time!

I am usually on the phone with a client.  I imagine that I am by their side, I ask Lao Tzu if he will help me to know what is needed for the person.  I see the person and I feel in my body connect to the needles that I put in with a snap of my fingers.  The pendulum is still at first waiting where I see on the body and the needles. Then almost magically, it begins to move.

Really?  Is this happening? The pendulum swings counter clockwise, clockwise, oblong, triangular swings and something happens to me inside.  I would have never in a million years thought that I can actually be a healing conduit to someone in another state or country.  I am in awe every single time when I can tune into a pain, feeling, block or emotion.  Words will come softly to me and flow like water as I am led to repeat them.  I feel compelled to whistle, hum, tone, or a song will pop into my head and it just HAS to come out!  We heal ourselves and truly our healing comes from within.  The body, mind, spirit sometimes needs help moving something that the person is unable to by themselves.

Every person I work on remotely is different and every experience is amazingly different.

Coming in Part Three …

In the third part of this series, I will include some patient experiences and describe what you can expect if you come remotely or in person for an esoteric acupuncture appointment.
